Time-Frequency Analysis and Suitable Function SpacesHans G. Modulation spaces and Wiener amalgams have proved to be indispensable tools in time-frequency analysis, but also for the treatment of pseudo-differential operators or Fourier integral operators. Given the limited time we will concentrate on the spaces $\SORdN, \LtRdN$ and the dual space $\SOPRdN$ (the space of {\it mild distributions}), also known as modulation spaces $\MiRdN$, $\nspb \MtRd$ and $\MinfRdN$ respectively. This will be a bottom up talk, with applications coming first. In this sense the talk is an experimental one, trying to test modern tools, both mathematical tools and presentation tools. |
